Privacy Policy — Shabadu for iOS

Shabadu is a client for shabadoo, a coordinator that each user runs on their own machines. The app talks only to a server the user operates. It has no backend of its own.

What we collect

Nothing. The developer operates no servers that receive data from this app, and no analytics, tracking, advertising or crash-reporting services are embedded in it.

What stays on your device

• The coordinator's address and your device token, held in the iOS Keychain and used to authenticate to your own coordinator. They are never transmitted anywhere else and are deleted when you sign out or delete the app. Your coordinator stores only a cryptographic hash of that token, not the token itself.

What goes to your own coordinator

The app sends requests only to the coordinator address you supplied when pairing, over HTTPS. Depending on what you do in the app, that includes:

• requests to list your sessions, and to read the recent terminal output of a session you open;
• text or commands you choose to send to one of your own sessions;
• an Apple Push Notification token, if you turn notifications on, so that your coordinator is able to notify you in future. No notifications are sent today.

That server is yours. This policy does not govern it — how it stores or logs what it receives is determined by whoever operates it, which is you.

Third parties

The app embeds no third-party analytics or advertising.

If a future version enables the optional voice feature, spoken audio travels directly from your device to ElevenLabs for speech recognition and synthesis. It is never routed through, seen by, or stored by your coordinator — the coordinator's only role is to authorise the connection. That feature is off unless the operator of your coordinator configures it, and audio is captured only while you are actively speaking to it. ElevenLabs' handling of that audio is governed by their own privacy policy.

Children

Shabadu is a developer tool and is not directed at children.
